A tunnel interior organising itself into a series of diminishing arches. The geometry is exact — the product of engineering — but monochrome renders it closer to catacomb than infrastructure. Light accumulates at the far end where the tunnel decides to end.
The cables converge on a tower holding up more than a bridge. Manhattan accumulates in the background in the luminous darkness that precedes full night — the moment when the city has not yet decided whether to be imposing or beautiful.
