City Photography

In cities I look for order in the middle of everything going on. Buildings, streets, bridges, stations, and evening views are photographed for their lines and repetition, and for the mood of the place once the crowds thin out. A city can go from grand to intimate within a few steps, and I try to keep that change of scale in the frame.

Collection Note

A quieter way into the city collection.

Some pictures are about structure and symmetry, others about atmosphere after dark. Usually the frame is simplified to one thing: a shaft of light, a repeated shape, a single figure. The four works below each show a different side of that, from architectural detail to evening scenes.
